| Issues of life and godliness facing Christians today |
Christians face many issues in today's post-modern world. With so many conflicting and shifting moral values, this can't be easy. Jesus Himself said, in the world ye shall have tribulation [trouble]...(John 16:33). This "trouble" certainly includes dealing with issues of life, family and society, because the decisions we make can so easily lead to pain, sorrow, loss and failure. Think of Adam and Eve and the decision they took in disobedience to God. This led not only to personal loss and sorrow, but to judgement upon entire humanity.
So, in facing issues that affect life and godliness of the Christian, is there any comfort and hope? Well, in the verse quoted above, Jesus goes on to say, ...but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Jesus came as the Word [Logos] and brought words of life. These words are contained in the Bible, and this is where we should look for the answers to the issues facing Christians.
Below is a list of some of the issues Christians have to deal with, or provide answers to when questioned about them. We'll add to the list from time to time. For some of the answers you'll be taken to another Christian website. Whilst we have taken care to check the biblical soundness of the comments, we don't necessarily agree with every point.
